ABOUT
AAN CONSULTING PRIVATE LIMITED

ANN is sister concern of the SHED established to support one of the main objective of the organization: raise awareness about human and legal rights related issues among general public through media especially social media. In recent past ANN has worked with the Asia Foundation and developed a series of short videos on Mediation through dramatization to support Sindh Judicial Academy (SJA). The videos are being used as training material for the capacity development of justice sector stakeholders in SJA. Besides, AAN have developed several short videos for the SJA on legal issues such as introduction to mediation law, referral procedure of mediation cases, and mediation stages and processes and understanding of criminal and civil trial.

FOUNDED

The AAN  was founded in 2015 by three young and dynamic individuals having a common vision to improve social status of women, children and communities. AAN was formed as a sister concern company of Society for Health and Education Development (SHED).


Society for Health and Education Development (SHED) Welfare Association is a non-political, non-sectarian, Voluntary Social Welfare Society, registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance, 1961 (XLVI of 1961) on 27th November 2006. SHED extends its services without prejudice to any race, cast, religion, sex or age, with the sole objectives of promoting health, education and social justice. Over the past thirteen years SHED has had successfully executed various projects, seminars, interactive session, and events.

PROJECT COMPLETE

AAN has successfully executed many health, education social sectors projects with national, international agencies including UNICEF and government of Sindh." AAN has worked together with SHED and UNICEF for raising awareness through media campaigns for children and women living in Prison. Likewise, AAN has successfully completed two projects in partnership with SHED for the strengthening diversion mechanism, established two child protection centres in Karachi and Hyderabad. The Child Protection Centre Project worked for the relief, rehabilitation and development in Juvenile Justice sector. The project was implemented from April 2012-October 2012. AAN/SHED has worked with Government of Sindh. SHED has successfully implemented Youth Health Awareness Programme (YHAP)- a project of Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, a core entity to deal with the matters of youth health in the province of Sindh. The project was implemented in partnership with Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) from November 2012-May 2013. The project conducted a series of training workshops and seminars on sexual and reproductive health related issues of youth. AAN/SHED has also initiated and developed and used a series of educational video sessions for youth offenders in prisons of Sindh.
